MOVIES AT THE MARAE is a festival of Māori, Pasifika and Indigenous moving image art works, in partnership with Wairoa Māori Film Festival celebrating the Kahungunu Marae 75th Anniversary.

Wairoa Māori Film Festival thanks Kahungunu Marae for partnering with us to present MOVIES AT THE MARAE. As our flood affected community was not able to present a full Māori Film Festival in 2023, many of the planned films will now be able to screen at MOVIES AT THE MARAE 2024.
